Tater Custom Infield Glove — Built for Both Sides of the Ball
Custom infield glove design has to handle a lot of jobs in a single piece of leather — quick transfers for the double play, deep enough pocket to secure a hard-hit grounder, structural rigidity for backhanded snags, and (for two-way players who also pitch) enough concealment to hide grip changes on the mound. The Tater Mod Trap Loop infield glove handles all of it. The Modified Trap web with a reinforced leather loop sits halfway between an open pitcher's web and a deep middle infielder pocket — concealed enough for the mound, agile enough for the 6.
This baseball infield glove is built specifically for the middle-infield-meets-pitcher crossover that's common at the high school, college, and travel-ball level. Premium leather construction means the glove molds to your hand over the first season and holds shape for years. The customizer lets you build a glove that's truly yours — web color, palm color, back color, lace color, and embroidered numbers, initials, or team marks.
Why the Mod Trap Loop is a two-way player's glove
The Modified Trap with a reinforced loop is one of the most versatile web styles in baseball. A standard closed pitcher's glove is great on the mound but feels heavy and slow when you turn a double play. A standard infielder glove (with an I-Web or open Trap) feels great in the dirt but lets the batter see your pitch grip when you take the mound. The Mod Trap Loop splits the difference — the Modified Trap pattern provides enough concealment to hide grip changes from a sharp-eyed hitter, and the reinforced loop at the top of the web adds the structural integrity middle infielders need on transfers and tag plays. It's the glove for the two-way player who's tired of switching gloves between innings.
Sizing and customization
The Tater custom infield glove is available in the sizes that overlap pitcher and middle-infield use — 11.5", 11.75", 12", and 12.25". 11.5" is the most common middle infield size and works for pitchers with smaller hands. 11.75" and 12" cover most high-school and college two-way players. 12.25" runs a bit larger for corner infielders or pitchers with bigger hands. Customize web color, palm color, back color, lace color, and add embroidered numbers, initials, or team marks. If you're not sure on size, the Tater team can help you pick based on your position and hand measurements.

FULL GRAIN LEATHER
The strongest. Full grain leather is the topmost part of the hide, where the animal’s hair existed. Because it still has the epidermis layer, it is the strongest type of leather.
