The Mystery Fungo is built for buyers who want a Tater® fungo fast. They don't need to choose the cosmetic details. You pick the length and feel of the bat. We pick the colorway and finish from our current fungo inventory. The result is a pro-grade fungo bat that ships the next business day. That often saves you the 4-week wait on a fully custom build.
If you're really lucky, your Mystery Fungo arrives in one of our limited-edition colorways. These are the same finishes our pro athletes have asked us to build for them. Either way, every Mystery Fungo carries the same craft standard as every Tater pro-grade bat.

How does the Mystery Fungo work?
You pick the length and feel of the bat at checkout. Tater Baseball® picks the colorway and finish from our current fungo inventory — meaning you'll get a surprise color, sometimes including a limited-edition finish. The bat ships the next business day from our shop in Cheshire, CT, with free name engraving up to 15 characters.
What's the difference between the Mystery Fungo and the IF1 or PS150?
The IF1 and PS150 are specific fungo profiles — the IF1 for narrower-barrel infield work, the PS150 for end-loaded outfield work. The Mystery Fungo lets you pick the length and feel but leaves the colorway up to us. It's the fastest way to get a Tater® fungo if you don't have a strong preference on cosmetics.
Can I exchange the Mystery Fungo if I don't like the colorway?
Yes. Every Mystery Fungo carries our money-back satisfaction guarantee. If you don't love the colorway you receive, we'll make it right. Most buyers love the surprise — but if not, just reach out and we'll work with you.

I love the fungo. I hate you sold out and didn’t tell me. When you did tell me, I was preparing to leave for my summer coaching job. Then, it finally came and my parents had to spend money to ship it to me. I am still not pleased about that. But the fungo is nice and is used every day.
Great bat! Awesome infield fungo, which I was hoping for. Very happy with the metallic green color and the personalization. We had a slight mishap when my grip wasn’t included but a quick email to customer service and they took care of it. Not only did they send it out quickly but they sent me two grips to make good on it. It was very much appreciated and a great way to stand by your brand. Some spot on customer service right there!
